Tenesol's involvement in research programmes
Tenesol is involved in many French and European Research and Development programmes. Our R&D Centre in France is home to more than thirty experts focusing on applied research. This team performs full-scale tests on the Tenesol products and systems in order to:
- improve the efficiency of our photovoltaic solutions, the service life of cells and modules and optimise their costs;
- develop new groundbreaking applications.
Tenesol works hand in hand with the most advanced research laboratories, Design Offices, industrialists and architects to invent the solutions of tomorrow. Our partners include INES and the MPO site in France, Liten in Spain and the Institut Fraunhofer in Germany.
Tenesol also joined the French Economic Interest Grouping (GIE) "Enjeu Energie Positive" (Positive Energy Challenge) in 2009. A Bouygues Immobilier initiative, this grouping offers global eco-efficient solutions with a view to:
- reducing energy consumption of future office buildings when in use,
- helping to increase the production capacity of renewable energies,
- optimising the carbon assessment of their life cycle.
Groundbreaking products from Tenesol
We have recently created the following groundbreaking solutions in conjunction with recognised professionals:
- Garden&Sun, the planted photovoltaic wall: developed in partnership with Canevaflor, this unique concept provides an efficient, original response to the constraints of soundproofing and thermal insulation.
- TE LUMEX Design, the dual-glass photovoltaic module: can be built into the skin of a new building or one under construction, it really does add to the appearance of architectural design. Made to measure, it gives architects full rein in their creativity: choice of technical and thermal characteristics of the glass, choice of colour, transparency or decoration, of cell arrangement, etc.
- The energy storage project: a storage solution for the energy produced by the photovoltaic generators, developed within a European industrial consortium.
Innovative monitoring and control solutions
To improve the maintenance, after-sales service and operation of photovoltaic solar power systems, the Tenesol research teams have also developed operational applications.
Customers can thus monitor and control their installations using:
- ENERCASH: regulator and pre-payment unit.
- ENERPAC: two-in-one regulator and data recorder.
- ENERSOFT: operating software program.
- ENERGRID DATA: data recorder.
- GRIDSOFT: operating software program.
- QUALISUN: control and operating report website.
