Solar power: often the only option to pump drinking water
Drinking water - or more aptly blue gold - is a precious commodity for men, livestock and land irrigation. The water tables must be exploited with extreme care. With no electric grid, photovoltaic solar pumping is therefore the optimum solution for drawing water.
Photovoltaic solar pumping systems convert the sun's rays into electricity to power a submerged pump in a borehole or well.
Solar pumping: Tenesol's first application
