Tenesol Quality
Triple certification
Tenesol has introduced an ambitious quality programme.
We are proud to be the only French solar panel manufacturer to possess a triple certification - environmental, social and economic.
- ISO 9001 certification: since 2003, thanks to an efficient quality and performance control system and management of our entire logistical chain. Each panel undergoes drastic individual quality testing and has its own numbered performance test sheet. Tenesol is the first French company to obtain this certification for the manufacture, installation and operation of solar units.
- ISO 14001 certification: thanks to our management system for the environmental impact of our activities, products and services.
- OHSAS 18001 certification: thanks to optimising and controlling the safety of personnel in carrying out their duties.
Namely: Tenesol also has certification guaranteeing the reliability of panels
- IEC 61215 certification: the guarantee of mechanical stability and electrical performances of photovoltaic solar panels. The normal operation of each panel is therefore guaranteed for at least 25 years.
Quality controls of modules at all manufacturing stages and beyond mandatory standards:
We operate a rigorous quality approach, from selecting raw materials to inspections.
- Pre-lamination inspections (bonding of two layers of material): quality of raw materials, electrical performances, etc.
- Post-lamination inspections: visual inspection of each module, compliance with IEC standards.
Tenesol uses the TÜV group, universally renowned for independent product testing. - All modules undergo power measurement tests.
- Peel test using a machine to check the quality of weld points.
- EVA reticulation test (gel content), to check the lamination quality precisely.
- At the end of the production chain, module samples undergo electroluminescent testing to detect any fissures.
Each solar panel component undergoes a variety of tests and an optimised process
Cells:
Automated assembly to reduce the risks of breaking:
- The production chains assemble modules of cells with two or three bus bars (main collection paths). This technology involves reducing the resistance between the cell metallisation strips
Individual quality control of each cell:
- All production is checked with a camera.
- The majority of the production undergoes additional visual checks.
Glass:
- Exclusive use of tempered solar glass for maximum mechanical strength.
- This material is extremely resistant to wind, the weight of snow and variations in temperature.
Frame:
- Exclusive use of 50 mm frame to withstand extreme twisting.
- Our frames withstand snow and wind (5,400 Pascal maximum), i.e. the strictest standard in the marketplace
- The frames are both screwed and bonded for maximum solidity.
- The silicon seal is applied to the entire frame.
Rear face components:
- Our junction box is optimised for easy handling and installation.
- An extremely rigid, rear insulating sheet.
- Perfect sealing and minimum weight.
Measured environmental impact
Producing a photovoltaic panel has limited environmental impact:
- A solar cell reimburses the power needed to manufacture it in three years.
- A solar cell operates in a clean cycle: it generates neither harmful emissions nor polluting gases.
- A solar installation is recyclable: once dismantled, the base materials (aluminium frame, glass, silicon, electronic components) can all be re-used or recycled.
- Photovoltaic solar power is also totally silent.
Tenesol has been a member of the PV Cycle association since 2009 and is therefore committed to an end-of-life panel recycling programme. We work to optimise the carbon assessment of our photovoltaic solutions: from the production of cells and panels, via the installation, transport of materials and personnel, to the dismantling and recycling of materials.
